On average we learn to clap hands
From seven to nine months old
Everyone in every society understands
The meaning of those claps without being told.
Is it surprising we are to exalt the Lord
With claps in praise and exaltation?
Each clapping event should not be ignored -
Every good thing is a result of His direction!
Did you clap your hands today?
Was it public, cheerful, full of encouragement?
Did it cross your mind to thank the Lord per se
Because of His glorious management?
When you find reason to clap,
Give honor to Him as well as the event!
Set you heart and your mind’s inner map
To acknowledge that all good things are from heaven, sent.
1 O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph Psalm 47:1
