That you just need a bit of help from your friends to receive
The balm and comfort when troubled waters aren’t receding.
Such situations we all come across in our lives.
As from old, in most biblical dives
We discern how only God is the shelter for every needing.
David, not yet king, expresses how he is weary worn.
Sick & tired of feeling anguished and torn!
But then finding solace from God after his pleading.
And Jesus, so weary he sleeps in the back of a boat,
While a tempest rages, barely keeping his disciples afloat!
But upon his being shaken awake – his men terrified, with dreading!
“Peace be still” He directs the sea.
And all is calm as God steers from his Holy Majesty.
Heaven is momentarily on earth due to Christ’s steadying!
So when you are weary worn
Look to God’s Word: you need not feel forlorn!
Bring a bit of heaven to earth! Calm is within your grasping.
I would hurry to my place of shelter, far from the tempest and storm.” Psalm 55:8
39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. Mark 4:39
