The Hebrews knew it first

That God Almighty was all-seeing.

Not withstanding humanity’s curse

The Man/God relationship was what was freeing.

So Holy was God’s name “Yahweh”

The nation, in awe, would avoid saying it.

But by God’s design and prevailing way

From birth to death everyone says it.

Even more pronounced when under duress

Your every breath pants it out in exclamation!

Next time you pant after a run, or any distress

Note your inhale/exhale proclamation -

Yah-weh, Yah-weh, Yah-weh, Yah-weh…

God’s name is ever more proclaimed!

Christian and unbeliever both say

The Lord Almighty’s name, forever famed.

The Police of the 80’s, and their popular song lyrics

Remind us of the Hebrew’s knowledge.

As “Every Breath You Take” mimics

God’s extraordinary plan – embrace that edge!

"Every breath you take
And every move you make
Every bond you break
Every step you take
I'll be watching you

Every single day
And every word you say
Every game you play
Every night you stay
I'll be watching you

Oh, can't you see
You belong to me?
How my poor heart aches with every step you take?

Every move you make
And every vow you break
Every smile you fake
Every claim you stake, I'll be watching you… "
