We hear from the pulpits
That God sent His Son
Who agonizingly died and was done.
Though the Triune knew
It would turn the world on its head,
God’s heartbreak was tremendously sad.
Separated even momentarily
Is not for the faint of heart.
But it gave the Godhead a new start.
Plagued by mankind
By every rejection since Adam -
So is Jesus a Savior to Him?
For when the Holy Spirit was sent
A blanket of believers now exists -
A balm for The Almighty persists.
So as we see that salvation
Was redemption for us -
God’s needs were addressed just as much.
Understand our mission is not
To be constantly raising up our needs -
But to delightfully lift God up with praise.
